The first part (the Old Testament) was written from the creation of the Earth and ends before the birth of Jesus. The second part (the New Testament) was written from the birth of Jesus and ends after the early apostles.<\/p>\n<p>When you read the Bible, start with the New Testament (NT). You might want to read one of the gospels (the first four books in NT) to get an idea who that Jesus guy really is and what he said. You may also want to write the 5<sup>th<\/sup> book (<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Acts&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Acts of the Apostles<\/a><\/u>) and\/or one of the other books, such as\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=James&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">James<\/a><\/u>,\u00a0<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Peter&amp;version=NLT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">1. and 2. Therefore, it\u2019s not enough to read the Bible and think \u201cgreat \u2013 this is for everybody else\u201d\u2026 It is actually for you! Do you believe in Jesus \u2013 in the Word? If you do, then DO what it says\u2026 and BECOME what it says \u2013 REST in the fact that it is for YOU who believe in Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>When it says that\u2026<br \/>\n\u2026you are a child of God \u2013 BECOME a child of God.<br \/>\n\u2026you are in the light \u2013 then STAY in the light and put the darkness behind you.<br \/>\n\u2026you have been ransomed from sin, death, guilt, and shame \u2013 so LIVE in freedom from those.<br \/>\n\u2026you are an ambassador for Christ \u2013 so BE a representative and a spokesperson for Jesus.<br \/>\n\u2026God is for you, so nothing evil can overcome you \u2013 so don\u2019t live in fear.<br \/>\n\u2026love is the most important thing \u2013 so kill your pride, your ego, and your inferiority \u2013 LIVE in love and care.<br \/>\n\u2026you must bury your old life in sin and convert \u2013 so be baptized (full submersion) and convert.<br \/>\n\u2026you must heal the sick \u2013 so lay hands on the sick and heal them.<br \/>\n\u2026you must drive out demons \u2013 so kick them out.<br \/>\n\u2026.etc. etc.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/old.lyttiljesus.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/who-am-i-in-christ.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to download, print, and read a selection of what the Bible says you are.\u2026<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>BECOME and DO the things you read\u2026 because THE TRUTH (the Word) will set you free.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>James 1:18-27<\/strong><br \/>\nOf His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.<br \/>\nSo then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God..<br \/>\nTherefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.<br \/>\n<strong>But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. You get that by acting on what you read.<\/p>\n<p>If you ONLY read and never act on what you have read, you may as well not bother!<\/p>\n<p>Provoking&#8230;! Satan knows the entire Bible too\u2026 because he was there when it was written \u2013 and Satan not only believes in God, he KNOWS that God is there! Satan has simply chosen NOT to obey God.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Matthew 7:24-27<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them<\/strong>, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.<br \/>\n<strong>But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them<\/strong>, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.<br \/>\nand the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.\u00ab<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>John 15:7-11<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciple.<br \/>\nAs the Father loved Me, I also have loved you. <strong>If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love<\/strong>, just as I have kept My Father\u2019s commandments and abide in His love.<br \/>\nThese things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><\/div><footer class=\"entry-footer\"><\/footer><\/article><div class=\"iconlist-timeline\"><\/div><\/li>\n<li><div class='iconlist_icon av-2cyksr-69c4a8f710c3784a8c0ddff383b24af7 avia-font-entypo-fontello avia-iconfont avia-font-entypo-fontello'><span class='av-icon-char' data-av_icon='\ue84e' data-av_iconfont='entypo-fontello' aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span><\/div><article class=\"article-icon-entry \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class=\"iconlist_content_wrap\"><header class=\"entry-content-header\" aria-label=\"Icon: DON\u2019T RUSH...!\"><h4 class='av_iconlist_title iconlist_title  '  itemprop=\"headline\" >DON\u2019T RUSH...!<\/h4><\/header><div class='iconlist_content '  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>When reading the Bible, DON\u2019T \u201crush\u201d through it. It is not about reading a lot in a short time, but rather about allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal the text to you.<\/p>\n<p>So, how should your read it? Here is an example of a verse many Christians have probably read over and over. Once you know it, it just becomes platitudes, but it doesn\u2019t click\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Matthew 6:33-34a<\/strong><br \/>\nBut seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.<br \/>\nTherefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble\u2026.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Now, hold on a minute! What does that mean\u2026??? What is the kingdom of God\u2026?? And what does it mean FIRST to seek the kingdom of God and His will? What about the added things..? Am I actually seeking God to get the added things? \u2013 or am I seeking him whole-heartedly and doing His will?? And if I first seek the kingdom of God and his will, what are the consequences for me? And what will be the consequences of following Him\u2026???<\/p>\n<p>So, don\u2019t rush through it, but stop and think about what you are actually reading and what it means\u2026.
