And if you do\u2026 then who is the lord of your life? Who comes first without a doubt?<\/p>\n<p>\u2026Who will control your choices in your daily life? \u2026You? Or <a href=\"https:\/\/old.lyttiljesus.dk\/en\/who-is-jesus\/\">Jesus<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>Did you know that far too many place themselves in the center, with or without realizing it, which means they actually reject Jesus, even though they believe in Him wholeheartedly?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-5i3v02-2982c2ce362bbffffab0758bf7b4e010 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><div class=\"_5pbx userContent _3ds9 _3576\" data-ft=\"{\">\n<p>We are human, and we have lots of emotions and thoughts. Only problem is that our emotions and thoughts are often controlled from \u2018the world\u2019s way of thinking\u2019 \u2013 such as \u201cNow I\u2019m offended because so-and-so said that to me\u201d or \u201cNow I\u2019ll do this, because everybody else is doing it\u201d or \u201cNow I\u2019m jealous of my neighbor because\u2026.\u201d It can also be a matter of self-hatred, such as \u201cI sure am a big fat idiot \u2013 and I deserve no better\u201d \u2013 or \u201cI\u2019m not good enough, and I can\u2019t do things because others are better than I am\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, placing Jesus FIRST in your life also means letting go of what YOU think about yourself\u2026 and to let go of what the world thinks about you\u2026 to confront and give up sin, guilt, and shame\u2026. Placing Jesus first means receiving the freedom He bought for you on the cross, rather than rejecting it. Placing Jesus first also means having permission to see yourself through Jesus\u2019 eyes \u2013 in other words, see yourself as He sees you.<\/p>\n<p>When you make an active choice to live with Jesus first in your life, you go from living in sin and darkness to becoming holy, pure, loved, and free \u2013 to living in the light. But it is often our own thoughts and feelings (and those planted by Satan) that separate us from the freedom Jesus gave us by going the way of the cross.<\/p>\n<p>Jealousy because the neighbor got a new freezer \u2013 self-hatred because you have not been used to being loved by others \u2013 self-condemnation because people have never recognized what you could do \u2013 sin, because you think you can pick and choose from the Bible as you please\u2026 these are all things that delight the Devil. Because this gives fodder for division, destruction, and \u2018bondage\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>There is no shame in being proud of yourself (in humility) \u2013 because being proud of being God\u2019s creation is fine. Actually it runs counter to God\u2019s will if you don\u2019t love yourself\u2026 It runs counter to God\u2019s will if you don\u2019t bless the neighbors and their new freezer&#8230; It runs counter to God\u2019s will if you fail to receive the freedom He purchased for you\u2026 It runs counter to God\u2019s will to beat yourself up with condemnation, a sense of inferiority, and self-reproach, when you are living a pure life for God.<\/p>\n<p>So, let me ask you one more time\u2026.\u00a0<strong>Whom have you placed first in your life? Jesus Christ\u2026 Or yourself<\/strong>\u00a0with the thoughts, emotions, and desires that control you? If it is you, will you change it?
